To celebrate the release of their adrenalin-pumping SSX snowboard game, EA Sports invited fans to ‘race, trick and survive’ a dramatic 400m-long zipline jump from the top of London’s iconic Battersea Power Station.
The production involved a dozen lucky gamers and a night shoot with 30 crew, 3 camera units and handful of flares and lot of stairs.
Bring to life the adrenaline pumping action of SSX for fans and viewers.
We scouted locations across Europe finally recommending and securing Battersea Power Station. We brought the gamers into the heart of the derelict landmark in a blacked-out SSX-branded bus, kitted them out in snow-boarding gear and then filmed their daring descents from the top of the turbine hall almost 60m above the ground.
EA’s digital agency Collective London then seeded the film to YouTube, Facebook and a host of specialist gaming sites across Europe.
